Taking a Career Aptitude Test Can Uncover Your True Calling

Career Aptitude Test

A career aptitude test (sometimes called career assessment) is designed to dig deep and determine not only what you are good at, but also what you enjoy.

It will calculate your strengths and weaknesses, and it will factor in your professional aptitudes as well as exploring your personal make-up.

Career Aptitude Test

There are no right and wrong answers on a career assessment test.

The questions are designed to form an accurate picture of who you are, so it's important to be completely honest. You will not be judged on your responses.

Uncover a multitude of possible career avenues you never would have considered.

Simply answering a brief questionnaire can drastically change you career path.

Here's a little story for inspiration:

I once knew a passionate young woman named Cindy who worked in live television as a director and script assistant. Cindy was a firecracker, full of energy, focused and driven. She thrived under the constant pressures of live broadcasting. She loved the thrill of never knowing what to expect, and keeping her cool under extreme pressure. She got a real rush from the frantic atmosphere, always on the brink of utter chaos and panic, yet forever in complete control of the environment. And she loved the thrill that came from captivating that live action in real-time.

When the industry took a hit and production dwindled for a few years, she started to think maybe it was time for a career change. But all she'd ever known, done, or loved, was production, television and film. So she had no idea what she might be suited for.

She sought the help of a career counselor and the first exercise he gave her was career aptitude test.

Much to Cindy's shock and surprise, here are the top three career matches that were revealed to her as a result of her career aptitude test:

Police Officer
Emergency Medical Responder
Air Traffic Controller

The list included several other options, but these three really resonated with her. These are very different from television and film production, but you can see a pattern. Her career assessment uncovered her passion for constantly changing circumstances. It also identified her ability to keep her cool under extreme pressure.

On her own, she never in a million years would have added any of these three career options to her list. They simply aren't anything she would have thought of.

Today she is a happy and successful air traffic controller, and part-time medical dispatcher!

Take a test. Take several. It only takes a few minutes. You can take several if you want to be able to compare results. You might be surprised where it takes you!
